DIANA VREELAND

"ALL PERIODS IN MY LIFE WERE IMPORTANT. I LEARNED IT AT BAZAAR THE HARDEST WAY, ALL THOSE YEARS, I WAS PRACTICALLY RUNNING THE SHOW, DENIED A PAY RAISE OR EDITORSHIP BY THE HEARSTS.

THEN VOGUE, I HAD CARTE BLANCHE, UNTIL SOME UPSTARTS THOUGHT ME TOO OLD AND TOO EXUBERANT FOR THE TASK. AND WHEN THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD SEEN THE BEST OF ME, HERE COMES PHOENIX, I GO TO THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM.

NEVER LET ANYONE MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR MOMENT HAS PASSED. NOW IS ALWAYS THE TIME, SO NEVER LOOK BACK, LET'S GET CRACKING! I LIKE TO BE ON THE UP SIDE OF THINGS, OF LIFE. THE REST IS FAIT DIVERS."
