HELEN MIRREN THE NEW FACE FOR L'OREAL

Helen Mirren is the newest U.K. brand ambassador for L'Oréal Paris, and we have to say, Dame Helen is looking more beautiful than ever. She has partnered with the brand for a campaign centered on the notion that true beauty is ageless. Shots show a smiling Mirren—her appearance untouched by Photoshop and other fancy enhancement tools—posing in a simple black pantsuit. The Oscar winner looks fresh-faced and at ease in the photos, which may speak to her natural grace and confidence. Her makeup is pretty but understated (we can spot eyeliner, mascara and a soft pink lip).

ROGUE AND ROGUE MAN by RIHANNA

September 2013 Rihanna presented ROGUE, her fourth fragrance for women. “People are always changing and evolving and with Rogue I wanted to switch it up to reflect who I am today,” said Rihanna. “I made it for all women, for every mood, because we all want to project our true selves.” The fragrance is announced as a flirtatious and sensual oriental, containing accords of lemon blossom, cyclamen, jasmine, rose, plum and suede over a base of musk, woods, patchouli, vanilla and amber.

ROGUE MAN made it's debut this September 2014. This is Rihanna's first fragrance for men. The perfume was developed by Frank Voelkl as an oriental - woody. In the top notes there are bergamot, clementine, black pepper and rosemary. The heart consists of cedar, jasmine, vanilla orchid and labdanum, leaning on the base of sandalwood, patchouli, amber, musk and tonka bean. Rogue Man made it's debut this September 2014. Its advertising campaign shows the singer and a tattooed model. Rihanna posted on on twitter: "Ladies! This September wake up next to your man smelling like this! Makes you wanna steal his T-shirts." Jenny Shimizu (legendary model) teamed up with the ultimate lipstick queen, Poppy King, to create the Helmut Red lipstick, their take on the timeless kiss that looks chic on all skin tones. The lipstick was “inspired by the photography of Helmut Newton… an ode to the power of red lipstick.” Moisture packed and lightweight, Helmut Red shines with a full red luster. Bonus: it’s made with a blue-ish base designed to flatter all skin tones. Shimizu models an oversized lipstick in the buff in photos by famed photographer Mark Seliger. (limited edition - n/a)

Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has died of cancer at age 82 on Oct. 20, 2014, close friends of the family and industry colleagues told CNN. Throughout his career, de la Renta dressed first ladies, movie stars and some of the world’s most famous brides. He enjoyed more than five decades in the spotlight — putting high society in haute couture — from Jacqueline Kennedy to, most recently, George Clooney’s new bride Amal Alamuddin.

THE FIVE SCENTS INSPIRED by DIANA VREELAND

The five scents have been created by four perfumers, under the watchful eye of Vreeland's grandson Alexander Vreeland who has founded the Diana Vreeland Parfums brand, and capture her eccentricity and unfailing confidence. Aptly named Absolutely Vital, Perfectly Marvellous, Extravagance Russe, Simply Divine and Outrageously Vibrant, each of the fragrances takes on a different persona. Inspired by Vreeland’s quote “if it isn’t a passion, it isn’t burning, it isn’t on fire, you haven’t lived." And just to tease you: "Perfectly Marvellous" is a punchy scent with a daring jasmine bouquet, while "Absolutely Vital" is a nod to Diana's love for India with its blend of sandalwood, myrrh and rose. TYRA BANKS LAUNCHES TYRA BEAUTY

Model-turned-entrepreneur Tyra Banks is launching the makeup line Tyra Beauty, which she says will allow ordinary women to work with their assets and transform themselves.

“Without makeup, I would have never been a supermodel. I don't wake up with naturally sculpted cheekbones -- I paint them on!” Banks, 40, said in a statement Friday about the new line. “I believe makeup is the great beauty equalizer.” 

Tyra Beauty will focus on “’Beautytainment’ – where beauty and entertainment collide,” adding that the line would be “all about Beauty. Business. Badassery.”

Banks’ website, Tyra.com, has been revamped to highlight the new line, which features the "TYOver" an applicator stick for the face, a “Smize” eye makeup product to allow women to smile with their eyes (Banks coined the term “Smize”), and the "It Factory", featuring lip products inspired by the runway. The products will be sold by independent contractors which Tyra calls “Beautytainers.”
