Before seeing this film it was easy to get wrapped up in the elegant image of the CHANEL we know of today. The fact that she and her sister were left to be orphans by their Father and then became dance-hall singers to escape a life of poverty, and that if it wasn't for the fact that Coco was kept and then helped by a very rich man to open her first hat shop, we never would have heard of the House of Chanel, makes us realize that everyone starts somewhere and determination can take you far in life.

The film is well done and I recommend that you go and see it.
