"L'Wren Scott, 49, used a scarf to hang herself from a doorknob inside an eighth-floor apartment at 200 11th Ave. at West 24th Street, there was no note and no signs of foul play, sources said. Cops were called to the apartment by an assistant, who used a key to enter the apartment and found Scott’s body shortly after 10 a.m. Scott had sent the unidentified assistant a text message about 8:30 a.m. saying, “Come by,” police sources said. The 6-foot-3 brunette began dating Mick Jagger the Rolling Stones’ frontman in 2001 A spokesman for Jagger, currently on tour in Australia, said the singer was “completely shocked and devastated” by Scott’s death. Scott’s suicide followed the last-minute cancellation of her London Fashion Week show, which she had blamed on fabrics that arrived too late for samples to be sewn in time for the event. But a fashion-industry source said that “L’Wren’s business just crashed,” and that was the real reason her show was scrapped. Another fashion source said: “I knew something was wrong when L’Wren canceled her London Fashion Week show. That would have been so important to her. She was very prolific on Instagram and recently had gone quiet and hadn’t been posting so much.” A third source added: “Everybody who knows L’Wren and Mick are totally and completely shocked.” “Neither of them drink or do drugs, and they were always really affectionate with each other. There were no signs of problems in their relationship,” the source said. The adopted daughter of Mormon parents, Scott was raised in a small town in Utah as Luann Bambrough. As a teen, she was discovered by famed fashion photographer Bruce Weber and changed her name to model for Chanel and Thierry Mugler before becoming a stylist for celebrities. The limited edition collection is filled with pretty pinks, mauves and lilacs, colors found in the Amnesia roses  L’Wren Scott’s grows in her garden.
